after aws58 i decided to go for 3 bot max for my team and my sons and missus's teams... this way another team of 3 could enter instead of us all having 4 bots.

i feel like it gives others a chance to get involved.

some quick working out tells me that with current numbers, dropping teams with 4 bots down to 3 opens up 8 spaces, (139 entries)

where as dropping everyone down to 2 bots opens up 42 spaces (105 entries)

it may well be tricky getting numbers right for the event...

so if 11 bots dropped out, and nobody else entered AND teams of 4 dropped down to 3 it would work...

i do not envy you with trying to sort this out, but if i come up with any ideas, i will share them

Dropping from 4 robots (3 rollers and 1 cluster walker) to 3 robots (2 rollers and 1 cluter/walker), would help more aswell as helping to keep the more exotic bots entered into the competition. Aswell as encouraging people to build down those routes for future events.

We should be ok for this one, I need to replace all our robots with updated/working versions before we sign up though.

Having had a look at the suggestions posted and other discussions, we will be implementing the rule that the limit you can enter is 3 robots; 2 rollers and 1 walker/cluster. According to the maths that would eliminate 31 robot (from people who have 3 rollers, and folks that have all 4).

We will see how it goes on the day if we end up with more than 128 even after that.

Hi
We have 3 rollers and 1 cluster entered.
Do you want us to delete one roller now?
Thanks

Yeah you’d have to remove 1 roller, sorry.

Also, I’m looking for volunteers to do judging, we want there to be 5 total so we can swap out if there is a clash or bias comes into play.
