Doesn't the 19th clash with the heavyweight champs?

Only worry with team champs is if there has to be 8 teams of two roboteers then only 16 people could come and about 8-10ish teams have already shown interest as do I but I don't really know how flexible the numbers are so idk if it would matter or not

It'd be flexible I'm sure :) if it's the 26th that's plenty of time to work out the details.

well I am sure we'd have roboteers with only 1 robot so we're making arrangements for that. Plus there will be a single elim comp for anyone that didn't get in. I know that may be restrictive but its all I can do really.

I would prefer our normal individual competition with maybe a team event run afterwards if people really want one.
We already have teams that win many competitions if two of them join up like Scot and Andy the result is almost a forgone conclusion.
I don't see how we can have people turn up possibly from long distances to be told they can't compete.

Then I don't do it.

Also, I was thinking a random draw of teams would be a lot fairer, I agree on the Andy/Scott comment, but their robots would suck at Gauntlet :)

Very true. I really enjoyed Ant Freeze and the way it was run. Another one like that in September would be absolutely perfect. :D
