As a sideline,I am using one of these TX's with Bruce at the moment...
I got it with an RC helicopter, but now use my DX6i .
It is properly compatible with spektrum DSM2,has servo reversing, but no mixing.Handy for me to use with Bruce as part of a clusterbot.
No multi model memory, but dirt cheap.
Just have a look on E-bay...

Dirt cheap indeed
I was about to order one on impulse but I've restrained myself until I've had a look round the net for reviews. Peter, would you mind posting a short review once you've received and used yours? Another first-hand account, along with Jim's, would be a welcome aid
I'm assuming it has trims? Looking at one of the eBay pics, there appear to be sets of buttons along the axes which could be the trims but I can't be 100% sure. Any info welcomed as these are an excellent price especially if being used with the cheap DSM2 HobbyKing receivers. Plus, being used to standard transmitter handsets, the gaming style of this one looks awesome 8)

Yep,4AA's. Yes it has trims,in the shape of plastic buttons, these also control servo reversing,by powering on with buttons pressed.I have a full manual,so I have some info at least. I have had this for two years, and ran Bruce on it when I first rebuilt him. It is a plasticy TX,but I have never had any problems. To bind, you just press the left stick in while powering on,there are also dual rates too.

Thanks for the info Jim. I may just well order one being that cheap.
Costs roughly the same to buy the orange compatible receivers on eBay to go with the unit, but saves me having to order/receive stuff from ChinaKing
