Here is my new full body spinner moved from the desire build section.
I have built the motor controllers up on a circular PCB that acts as the chassis. The weapon motor mounts directly to the board and two of the motor mount screws also retain the drive motor gearboxes. Still have to add the weapon controller and the cutter blades but still have 55gms spare.

Note the 2.4 Ghz receiver which plugs into a socket on the board and which is now legal.

The crankshafts are made using a lathe with a four jaw chuck. Unlike a three jaw chuck where all the jaws move together to ensure that round material is centered the four jaw allows independent movement so the round bar can be offset. then using a very narrow parting off tool you can very carfully machine away the material until you hav the correct diameter big end. The material is then rotated through 180 degrees in the chuck to machine the second crank. You always machine from the end inwards and very carefully other wise they tend to bend. See Diag.
The 2.4 Ghz radio has many advantages here are the main ones.
1 It is so far away from the normal frequencies you get no interference
2 Even the noise from motors is way to low to interfere
3 You dont need crystals as the transmitter scans for available frequencies
4 They transmit and receive on two seperate channels using best signal
5 The frequency is much better at passing through metal armour
