The content is far more important than any fancy graphics :)
Looks like a promising start.

I like the look from the card layout picture.
It looks shorter which is good compared to the carboard mock up you did.
Problem is that things are starting to look tight in there.
Now then I admit my experience with building spinners is probebly the least experience i have in all robot weapons. But I am prity sure you dont want to have a spinning disk sandwiched between your battery and receiver.

Nope, I don't so I redrafted the layout and I was put in charge of revamping the chassis too. Now, the servos are still next to each other, the receiver is at the back and the batteries are at the front-left. The saw will go next to the batteries, I think vertically.

Nick.

PS: Does anyone know where we can get a fairly good saw that is <15mm, and is under ?15 or so?

Just finished making my new website (started it ages ago but never finished) and got a proper domain name too (my first one ever, yay!)

www.epicrobotics.co.uk

(might not work yet due to DNS servers or something, if it dosn't then click Here)

Lemme know if you find any broken links, typoes, or false information, and also if you have anything you think I should add to the links page.

Hi Scott
It seems to work OK, but I would strongly suggest a rethink of the colour scheme! The grey textured background is nice, but the black text just doesn't show up very well. The main page with bold text is bad enough, but the other pages (not bold) are almost impossible to read.

Now I know I'm getting old (!) but my eyesight's not failing yet! :)

BTW thanks for the link!

Thanks for the feedback Gary, background now changed to a lighter metal texture, should be easier to read, also bolded the text on the events, contact and links pages. Decided not to bold the text on all the robot pages due to there being lots of it and me not wanting it to take up too much room (and lazyness). This would of been so much easier if I'd used stylesheets, but I forgot :P.

That looks much better! It's all easy to read (even the non-bold bits).
When it comes to defining the overall look of a site, stylesheets can't be beat! Well worth the effort of modifying it now before the site gets too big...
