9:30 : Hall opens.
9:30-10:30 : Setting up and arriving.
10:30-11:00 : Sign-in's, etc
11:00-Lunch : First couple of rounds of AWS, possibly some Minisumo
Lunch : Fleas
Afternoon : Rest of the AWS and Minisumo events
We have the hall till 6, but obviously I'm sure the main event will be finished before then so we have some time at the end for fun competitions, whatever people want.
The Event
Warmup Event
The Warmup event has been cancelled due to time restrictions. Sorry! I know it seems like an oxymoron, but we may still run something similar at the end if we have time, although I doubt we will.
The AWS
The AWS Main Event will take place all through the day. The first couple of rounds will happen in the morning, and then the rest will happen after lunch. It will use a full double elimination system, this means that every single robot will have to lose two matches before it is out of the competition. This INCLUDES the scenario that the winner from the losers bracket beats the winner from the winners bracket in what would be the final. In this case, the fight will take place again, since at that point, both robots would have lost 1 match each, making them even. If the winners bracket robot won the match, then the competition would be over.
We will be dealing with odd numbers of competitors by handing out 'byes' randomly. If you are in a match with a bye, you will automatically win, and the bye will behave just like any other robot would, I.E, if you are fighting a bye in the first round, you will progress to the second round on the winners side, and the bye will 'drop down' and be against a random opponent in the first round of the losers side.
See this graph for the double elimination system we will be replicating.
Fleaweights
The Fleaweight competition will take place over the lunch break, although it seems we only have 2 fleas anyway so it wont take long. Might do a best of 3 or something. We'll see on the day.
Minisumo
We will also be holding a Minisumo competion during the day, which will be a full league system, ran side by side with the main event over the course of the day.
Travel Details
By Car
To the A46
Coming from the south on the M5, turn right off the motorway at junction 9, heading east onto the A46
Coming from the north on the M5, turn left off the motorway at junction 6, heading south/south east onto the A4538. Continue straight onto the A44. Turn left onto the A46.
Coming from the M40, turn off the motorway (left if heading northwest, right if heading southeast) at junction 15, heading southwest onto the A46.
Coming from the M42, turn off the motorway (left if heading west, right if heading east) at junction 3, heading south onto the A435. Continue straight onto the A46.
From the A46
From the A46, you want to come off onto the A44 at the right-hand roundabout on this map, then head north on the left-hand roundabout onto Evesham Road. Follow this road until you come to this junction then turn right onto village street. The village hall is just down the road on your left (Map)
I realise these arn't the best directions ever, but I'm really pushed for time. I'll put some signs up on the day pointing in the right direction from the crossroads, and try to make it obvious where the hall is. As for parking, there are about 5 or so spaces just outside the hall, and the rest will oark along the road - there will be plenty of space. If you have any questions or get lost on the day, ring me on 07855451139.
By Public Transport
Catch a train to either Stratford-Upon-Avon or Evesham Station, then catch the Number 28 Bus, getting off at the Harvington Golden Cross stop.
For those getting the bus, I'll make sure you know where to get off, It stops right outside the hall.
Let me know if there are any errors or if I've forgotten something
NOTE: Any updates that are made will be added to this post, so you don't have to go all through the topic to find the bit of information you need.

Well its no problem for me neither. I am not sure having the date close and before the expo would be good or bad.
Could be good cause people with have bots built and maybe have a few new designs to try out straight after the aws
btw flipit
If no body can take u up then you are welcome to stay at ours
but I live up at bradford and plan to go down the night before and stay the night there. In me and liz's new flat we have a spare room. So if its cheaper for you to fly a few days earlier and arrive up at bradford and stay for a few days, you are welcome to do that.
