Re: AWS 46- University of Reading- 28th March 2015
Will mentioned 10am as a reccommended arrival time earlier, although obviously it'd help if everyone's there early
Was there ever a decision reached on the closing entry date? (I got all mine in just in case...)
EDIT: I have just realised that I've signed up Mecha-Spall as 2.4 Ghz when in fact it's on infrared and 27mhz AM (either 26.690 or 27.145, depending whether you believe the transmitter or the reciever). I somehow doubt this'll be a problem, but just so you know, sorry!

81 ants for the main comp so far (once you take out Craig who said he probably cant come). Still a few to sign up too. Providing everyone attends, its going to be a big one.

Just checked the sign up sheet and my name doesn't appear next to my bot Flippertygibbit. Sorry if I filled out the form wrong.

Hi Guys,
Here are all the details for Saturday
The event will be held in the Meadow Suite at Park House on the main University campus and is signposted once you enter the campus. We need everyone to arrive by around 10am with sign in closing at 10.45 for the main competition beginning at 11am. There will be plenty of spectator space in the room and the event will also be streamed live on the Internet.
The event has been kindly sponsored by the Berkshire branch of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, which has a remit to promote Engineering and Technology, especially to younger people.
If you want to see last year’s event you can visit the YouTube Page
http://www.youtube.com/user/RobotWarsReading
The event will be streamed live using uStream (I WILL CONFIRM THIS LINK BY THURSDAY)
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/robot-wars-reading
Timetable (approx.)
9.30am – 10am Roboteers set up and registration
10.30am Briefing
11am Main event Start
4pm Fleaweight & Nanoweight World series events
5pm Extra competitions (tag team, annihilator etc..)
5.30pm Prizes and close
We will be strict on timing with this event- if you are not in the arena 5 minutes after being called you will automatically forfeit the fight. We will be allowing everyone to have one 'extra' five minutes which they can use once during the day if needed.
Any problems please let me know- Peter has kindly agreed to bring his arena which will be used for all of the competitions
Thanks
Will
