what sort of events would you all like to see? also, has anybody got an arena available for the event? i'd be very grateful to anyone that can bring one. i have a practise area but it doesn't have a spinner cage and it's only made of wood.

I've got 4 different platforms to use: Raceway (figure 8, not circular like speedway), Assault Course, Football and my normal arena. Any of those you'd like to use, you're welcome to :). I do have a case for my arena as you know, but no drop offs/no space for drop offs.

football definately sounds good. it was great fun at nuneaton. obsticle course also sounds like fun. even if we just use it for a few games after the main competition. thanks David.

how would everyone feel about an event completely comprised of friendly games instead of a main competition? tag team, annihilators, footy, obsticle course, robot roulette etc. just a thought to give the event a more relaxed feel to it.

To me, an event should have a cumulative point to it. Your event last time was laid back enough, enough time to squeeze in an extra 'game' or 2 and still keep the combat there. My ATC's will be a full on mix of games and combat, just need to pick a date.

I'd definitely be up for going to this if I can - the key word there being if, as I don't really know what I'm doing beyond the end of June!
I should ask my dad if we can take the train, its just he hates driving! ;D

Also, a relaxed event with mini games would be cool imo.

I think what we might do is run a double elimination competition but sacrifise the non spinner warm up to allow more time for games at the end. hopefully we'll also have time for a fleaweight melee.

Went to the open last year to just watch... Seeing as I'm only a few miles away and should have my car with me by then, I'll almost certainly be there... this time with robots :)

we had great fun last year. it was really relaxed and nobody was really bothered about winning. hopefully we can have the same sort of atmosphere this time. a signup page will be set up nearer the time when people can be more certain whether or not they can make it.
