Very impressive you seem to have started a bit of a resurgence in fleas.

The eyes were ?1.50 dolls eyes from flea-bay(pun intended  )
I dont think they will last very long in battle, but it should be pretty funny when they go flying around the arena!! :D

It doesn't look bad actually :) how much weight is there left for armour/weapons?

I've been quite inspired by Jim's Blue Ringed Octopus (I'm looking forward to seeing it fight with Bruce as a clusterbot; Octobruce (thought it sounded like Octopus)), but I do wonder how the hell that thing is so far underweight with all the metal bars and such ? Whats the frame made of ?

I am going to be fully rebuilding Divinity to have a better construction and a blade similar to that on Fleabite, but I am wondering what materials I should use to make it. ATM the base is 3mm HDPE, the speedo is pete's option B63 (with the 2g spektrum receiver), 2 gear motors, a 100mA battery, but that will likely change to a 120mA due to Fleabite ripping the lead off the old one, an 18mm brushless outrunner (same one Antipathy uses) and a 1mm Ti blade which is currently secured on with glue, but that will need to change, but the robot currenty weighs 76g, and its got no armour. Any suggestions ?

I had considered 1mm CF for the base and welded 1mm HDPE for the shell, wasn't sure if 0.5mm CF would be stiff enough.

hmm, speed hacked servos are quite good weight wise 6g each, they will have little torque and you dont have to waste weight on a speed controler and scince they have casing they can be glues eliminating mounting brackets, if shorten wires it gets weight down (from 78g to 73g) or drill holes, atm i use 1mm ali and 3mm plastic without any major holes, my new flea came too 73g and that was with a bl***y heavy rx (about 12g)
thats my 2p any way
