Tell me about it - I used style sheets but had the code on every single page (on a 50+ page site) it was a nightmare centralising it into one sheet, having to change the code on every page :o

As to Scott's site - I like it, especially with the slight change of colour scheme!

I've added some information to my site about the Spectrum RC system
http://windisch.co.uk/robots/howto/use_ ... rum_rc.htm
I hope this is useful.

Very nice. Glad to see that 2,4 GHz is now also embraced by the antweight community.

Still think its a bit silly to have a BOT receiver, with the words "For robot use only" on the back, and have a Throttle, Aileron, Rudder, Elevator etc. etc. :)

Is that layout (1 and 4 on leftstick, 2 and 3 on the rightstick) normal for other TX's? I've never had that before.
Best regards,

Hi Leo,

Well it's the way mine worked. Are you saying that yours works differently?

No i am saying of all the TX's I've had before, I never had them in that layout before.

Normally I had either 1 (thr) and 2 (aile) on left and 3 (ele) and 4 (rud) on right, or 1 and 2 on right and 3 and 4 on left. But the 1 and 4, 2 and 3 combination i could set up om my FX18 for instance, but was not standard.

It works, and your description is correct, I just found it odd, thats all.

btw? did you test the vtail or crossmixing yet? I havent and i'd like know know if it works ok.
Best regards,

Hi Leo,

It's like Spektrum want to change the position of the clutch and brake pedal in a car, very odd.

I don't really understand any of these aircraft terms. I was just trying to get it to work as a robot!

BTW, did you see that super lightweight Spektrum receiver that only works with the DX7 transmitter, it's 3.5g, and that's with its plastic casing.

Indeed , but unfortunatly when i checked and mailed spektrumrc they told me that it had didn't failsafe on all channels, only throttle cut. Thats ok for a parkflyer, but for a robot i dont like that risk.

btw one roboteer was already helped by your site. So thats good.

I've just added to page http://windisch.co.uk/robots/howto/use_ ... rum_rc.htm explaining how to solder connections between the Spectrum AR6000 receiver and a Sozbots control board.
