He's quite happy to stick it in an arena to fight to the death, but not for it to sit there doing sod all. This is the attitude I love, that, as with any great hobby, its not the money it costs, its what you get out of it that counts.having spent ?3000 on her i'm not gonna sit back and watch it rust.

Can I just say, in the midst of Craig's little moment, he raised a point I love about this sport?

hi there, is somebody putting huge graphics on this site? possibly in their avatars?
I'm connecting via my phone at the moment, and I'm paying per megabyte.
Over the last couple of days the page sizes of this forum has gone up from a hundred or so kilobytes to over 300 kilobytes (I don't know the actual size, as I have to cancel the page before it bankrupts me)
anyway, could someone look into this please.
Many thanks - Simon

Simon, if it's any pages in particular, let me know which ones and I'll investigate. If it's all (or most) pages then it could be some avatars. I notice some are now sporting animations, which will increase the file size considerably.
Guys, please spare a thought for people on dial-ups and those that pay per byte - keep the image sizes sensible, and check that you've used a reasonable amount of compression on JPEGs. Also please check the image size and file size of your avatar.

Can I suggest that avatars are limited to 80 x 80 pixels (this is the size that phpBB prefers) and to a maximum file size of 5kB.
Looking up this page I seem to have the biggest avatar file at 4.5k
I would also suggest that images in sig's are unnecessary now that avatars are available.
Remember the bandwidth of the internet is a limited resource - don't waste it! Your co-operation is much appreciated.
