Have you heard the delightful song of the potato bird?

When I heard the song of the Potato Bird
I thought it sounded completely absurd
That bird would not come around here again
If I sent him packing right home to his den

So into my slingshot I put a walnut
Hoping to hit the potato bird right in the gut
I took aim and let that ripe walnut rip
But at the last second, my thumb, it did slip

The nut missed the bird and flew into the street
Knocking the hat off a cop on the beat
An angry bellow like a bull was released
Implying that I would soon be deceased

I turned round, and into my house I sped
But he crashed through my door and yelled I was dead
So out the back window I hurriedly fled
Leaping the fence from the roof of the shed

In my haste I screwed up, and tripped on a rock
Banged my head on a branch, and slipped into shock
The last thing I saw was the Potato Bird
Flying above me, dropping a Potato Turd

The moral of the story's to not be a jerk
Shooting walnuts from slingshots at innocent birds
For every action has an unknown effect
Which could culminate in you breaking your neck
