Post by TeamScrewUp »

Has anyone ever used TinkerCAD for Antweights? I'm considering using it and i am just wondering if it is any good at all. If so any pictures of ants made with it and/or advice on how to use it well, thanks!

I do all my ants in google Sketchup.
I have not tried any others so I can't say how they compare.

Fair enough. I dodn't even know Sketchup could be used that well for Antweights, so hearing that information i'll probably go for SketchUp since i at least have some knowledge and experience with it.

We have used tinkercad.
It is a very easy way of getting used to CAD and my son, who is 11, uses it a lot.
Our robots that have been designed from scratch are: Grandma, Jammie &Dodger, Gooshie
And Fred who is a very modified version of Firestorm from thingiverse.
Once you get a few basic building blocks created (like motor mounts, servos, etc) it is quite easy to assemble a robot.

We are trying to move onto Fusion 360 as it has a lot more functionality
