Are there any weapon definitions?

Post by limpet »

Before I try and re-invent the wheel and set about writing up some definitions of what a weapon is classed as (for the next AntFreeze),
has it already been done before? I can`t remember seeing anything.
Its something I feel would be better open to a discussion and general agreement too if theres anyone willing

I'm not aware of any official weapon definitions.

I think any set of weapon definitions has to contend with primary intention vs. actual 'effectiveness'. For example, axe weapons at antweight scale typically don't do much damage, but there's a clear intention of hitting the top of the opponent with an overhead swinging arm. An axe can conceivably also be used as a grabbing arm. How fast does an axe need to move for it to be considered one over a grabbing arm? etc.

That’s the sort of thing I was thinking of, there’s going to be those that are obvious for each one but then there will be crossovers between the groups. Needs some thought.
