How do you mount your motors if they're that far inside the wheels?

Looks awesome BTW.

I turn a tube from nylon bar that bolts to the bulkhead and runs inside the wheel keeping the wheel straight and holing the motor up to the gearbox.

Finally got round to fitting some teeth to the new Mutant drum.
Might need to sharpen them and then fit the controller and it should be ready for Brighton.

Ah NUTS! this one looks particularly scary to try and defeat :P MR Waller and His spinners haha, Josh, I am taking that when you say the 3d one came as a solid block you mean it was ACtually machined in that form? how do they do that?is it some kind of mulitdirectional lazer?

yes it was supposed to print out as several parts so that all the flipper mech rotated in the correct places but it printed the seperate material together as one piece because of accuracy issues... 3D printing is basically done by building up tiny layers of about 0.1mm thick to create a 3D part. I think for nylon they laser sinter each layer from a powder although i may be wrong.

Mutant is finally finished ready for AWS 33.
It now has the two front prongs to hopfully guide the opposition up into the mincer.
