Do you eschew the terrapins and other aquatic reptiles, or is your love all-encompassing?

I don't know online pop culture XD if it's 1980s music I'm in there straight away, but Ashens is as far as my online knowledge stretches...

Right. I am feeling left out. :( Lots of people doing lots of interesting things at the moment, which is brilliant! :)
I am really starting to look forward to the AWS now, after the brilliant event at Basingstoke, and seeing the great ant-freeze videos.
I have just finished a new robot.
The story goes...
I went to Australia for work last year, and found a kids toy that had some nice looking wheels on it, so I bought it, and it sat in my "bits and pieces" drawer for a couple of months. I decided that the best use for the wheels would be a 4wd pusher, as they are wide and soft and grippy. And then I wondered what power train to use, and I decided to use the 2x 12A esc's that I got from Botbitz last year, and I decided to get 4x 30:1 botbitz motors, and one of the fingertech switches that they sell. It has turned out to be a real Aussie robot!
I have never done a 4wd pusher,( I am not counting creepy crawly, as that was a 4wd jiggler!!!)
I tried to get it reasonably compact,so designed the chassis around the components I had.

Anyway. I spent about 2 months thinking of a good name, then I decided to call it "23" I have no idea why! :o
here are a couple of pics...

It will be interesting to see how grippy the wheels are, and how well the robot works in general. It is a bit of a workhorse, but should be strong and reliable. Now I am looking forward to doing something a bit more "out of the box" though. :)

Couple of things to say:

A: That's freakin' awesome looking!
B: Was 12A necessary? 3A would have done.
C: Where's the power switch? If it's one those turn-dial switches, are we allowed them in an AWS ?
The FRA rules say about not needing a tool to access the power cut off, and our rules say it must have an external method of turning it off. Does that allow the use of tools to do it?
