started work on a new antweight, just to buck up the numbers.
£2.50 servos, 1+6mm polycarbonate and 1mm hdpe, hopefully it will be a grabber/cramper.

comes in at 72g without battery, front and back armour or weapon searvo.

It wins by making the driver of the opposing robot's legs so uncomfortable that they can't drive properly ;P

a while back i blew up my sabertooth 5a but then it started working again, but one side only goes one direction.
i opened it up to see if it was fixable as i had nothing to really lose, this is what i found:
<snip>
is there somewhere i can fix/find a replacement part.

thanks, haz.
Harry, if you can get all the numbers and letters off of the device and/or its twin opposite, and a pic of the logo on the device, I can probably help you to figure out what it is. No guarantee that you will be able to buy one easily though :(

The F is the Fairchild Semiconductor logo.
PA 1AA is date code etc
FDS6911 is the part number and the bit you are interested in.

The good news is it's not a programmed microcontroller, it's a dual MOSFET which most likely drives the output. Hence it is the most likely bit to get fried!

They are available from Digikey.com at £1.15 each, but there will almost certainly be a minimum order of £30 - £50 :( Not too sure, I've never ordered from them personally, but we use them at work.
Hope this helps (a bit)

I seem to remember the minimum order was quite high and I had to pay the delivery man the import VAT.
You can also get them from Farnell but they have to get them from the USA so a £15.95 once per order charge.

The biggest problem is from the photo you seem to have lost the tracks to pins 7 & 8 so it may not be possible to repair.
