Alasdair, I have noticed you have those aluminium hub wheels on all 4 motors... as far as I can remember they are really heavy old chap maybe you could reduce weight for armour with replacing them?

Yeah it is invertible but it hasn't got much of a scoop when it is so other robots can get under it easily...

Why dot you stick a scoop on the back the other way up so when he is flipped he can use that?

At the moment I'm having some size issues as it only just fits into the cube on it's side and needs to be at an angle to fit at all so fitting another shovel on would be a problem. I was fine last at the last 2 RRCs so I don't think I should worry to much.

As long as it does fit somehow, you'll be fine :) looks great and I look forward to fighting it.

Working on FrANTic, trying to lose weight. Removed the terminal blocks and cut down all the bolts. I still only have 18g though. I might have to go for a carbon fibre body.

Well after a million problems with my 3d printed chassis I have given up and gone back to polycarb and the 3 axis cnc. The printed chassis was sposed to be a total of 4 pieces printed together so that it pivoted in the correct places but in actual fact was not as accurate as i percieved and came out as a solid piece. Rather than spend another 40 pound and fix these problems i have started machining on a new design in polycarb. The first two main bulkheads I finnished cutting today.

This is the 3d printed chassis:

And the new design so fair...
