Re: ARC ESC Help and other newbie questions
Mixing is something you can turn off and on, on a transmitter. Mixing enabled on both an ESC and transmitter will put you back to square one as they will cancel out. For all my robots I have escs with mixing and it off in the radio.I use a mix of dsmx and dsm2 lemon receivers Esc looks fine I've bee...

Re: ARC ESC Help and other newbie questions
Hi, Whether you need mixing is going to be dependent on the transmitter you have. For our uses it lets you put the steering and forward/reverse on one stick for driving. Some transmitters will have this as an option but having it on an esc is usually a good thing. Other wise it's one channel for eac...

Re: Harry Makes Ants
Hi, The green part is the fill valve. The gas vents through the main valve when it stops being depressed by the servo, then the silicone bands pull the ram down. Quick test of the hypnodisc disc (disc) I'm quite impressed with the balance of it - plus it sounds jolly cool too :) https://www.youtube....

Re: Harry Makes Ants
If a rule isn't writ down is it actually a rule? No - EO discretion at least. If it gets added to the ruleset I'll change it, if not I'll double check with the person running the event before it gets signed up. I'm not fussed either way if the rules get changed - should lower the amount of switches ...

No, AWS is too far, too soon.
Its a Phillips head but same principal. Was the safest way for me to do it. Probably AWS legal if pick up a spinner, flip it over and unplug it though.
Having finally got around to reading the AW rules, where does it actually say I can't use a screw switch?

Re: Harry Makes Ants
Hey all, General update. I've gone back to the drawing board for armour on the pneumatic thing for now as I really wasn't satisfied with the quality and strength. I may end up just biting the bullet and printing another frame (when I can be bothered to change all the components over and reroute wire...

Re: Best/cheapest way of producing this part?
Yo! Jim did almost exactly that design 3d printed in steel and it was really cool. Until it hit something then it bent. Jury is out on 3dp weapons. CNC milling is your best bet. I think that part can be done in 3 setups. £100 in a decent grade of steel/hardox is an unfortunately fair cost - people m...
