For an antweight the AAA batteries are a bit to big. I'd recommend get a light Nimh or lipo pack around 200mAh or so

My sabertooth has worked good when testing except for when i push the sticks to the end of the travel then it goes in like 50% speed and stuff :/

Okey so I cant just cut the current motor wires off and solder the polulu motor on there, and just scrap the casing and gears and old motor?
Or is the pot going to move a bit and make the board go crazy?

thanks alot for the advice guys.
Another quickie; could i use a standard servo board to power the motor, and if so do i have to modify anything other than just solder the polulu motor onto where the old one went?

Ah, sounds a bit pricy but as you say it's easier to place them.

Hijacking the thread for a minute.

Which controllers apart from Peters and the sabertooth is worth going for at this time for an antweight(2x 50:1 HP motors? I've looked around but havn't really found any substitutes

Yeah got the polulu wheels and they seem nice and grippy.
On the other ant im in need of bigger wheels tho so im gonna make some out of hdpe or polycarb. Not ure what to use to get them grippy tho

How would it be to use lets say o-ring or whatever those rings are called which are used to keep air / water connections tight?
The black rubber ones, if you machine a small notch in a thicker wheel?
