Re: Pre modded servo boards for escs?

Quick update... As mentioned in my earlier post, at the same time as ordering the Dorman servos, I also ordered a batch of Feetech FT90R c/r servos for comparison. They cost twice as much as the Dormans (£30 for 10) but I figured with Feetech being an established brand, they should be worth a try. U...

Re: Fishy Electronics - DisinfectANT , Cilit BANG

Funnily enough, the two projects I'm working on at the moment - a drum spinner and a disk spinner - also use polycarbonate for the body of the weapon. Though lacking the means to provide them with any fancy dentition, I opted for some off-the-(Chinese)-shelf titanium M4 socket cap head screws for th...

Re: Fishy Electronics - DisinfectANT , Cilit BANG

Wow indeed. All the orthodontists in Hollywood couldn't conjure up teeth as perfect as those. And in titanium?!? All my recent attempts to work that stuff have resulted in burnt, scarred fingers, blunted saw-blades, worn out cutting disks, a workshop that stinks of burning metal - and some odd missh...

Re: Pre modded servo boards for escs?

Hi Mike - please don't ever worry about questioning my testing - my understanding of electronics is rudimentary at best :D I did wonder whether my el-cheapo Neoteck DMM was correctly reading RMS voltage, so I tried the same test with one of my few surviving Das-Micro ESCs. There however I was defini...

Re: Pre modded servo boards for escs?

Having come quite late to the Antweight world, I missed out on the necessity for sourcing DIY ESCs made from servo boards. I was always curious about giving it a try but wasn't keen on the faff of balancing those tiny potentiometers. Hence, when I saw Mike's post about using the boards from digital ...

Re: Malenki-ESC open source Antweight ESC

Hi Mark,

I'd love to test one! I have one spare cPPM-equipped Orange RX 614, which could make for a very neat little combo.

Cheers,
Stuart

Re: decent antweight brushless

Worth checking the 'bargain bin' on HobbyKing website periodically. I recently picked up a few of these for less than four quid each and they run happily on 3S lipo via Afro 12A. This model went out of stock pretty quick but I've seen similar deals come and go so worth stocking up when you can. http...

Re: "What it says on the tin" N20s / Far from tacky tacho

Just to follow up - I ordered four 12V 1000rpm N20s from that eBay link that Luke recommended. Arrived within a week. Tested them with the tachometer last night and results were pretty conclusive - running on a freshly charged 6v NiMH battery, all four were within a couple of revs of 510 RPM. They a...

Re: Malenki-ESC open source Antweight ESC

This is VERY exciting (or should I say 'ochen volnuyushche') news, Mark! Support for cPPM would make life so much easier, especially if/when HK ever get the OrangeRx R614XN back in stock. Best of luck finishing it off.

Thanks Luke - will give some of those a try.
