well, these servoes are for RC cars, so they may be a little big. With 183 oz. inch at 0.07 sec.....that's crazy! It may be a $80 servo though

First welcome to the world of ants. It's difficult to be certain without seeing the servo but that is normally how it is done. The only thing is that you are actually bypassing two reductions which are normally about 3:1 so you end up with a servo 9 times faster but only 1/9th of the output torque....

hmm I see. I gess it would be better for a servo, you could just use the servo arm as the first arm of the lifter.

I really do like that bot of yours, looks to have a small amount of trouble getting the bigger bots out though, they look to get stuck on the elasic holders

whoa 2 brushless motors? For drive? wow that's going to be one fast bot. Very fast. May be a bit heavy though. Two 24g motors with two 6.55g batteries and two about 13g ESCs. Hmmm, so simple and it works so well. Do you think if you got hit had enough it will release the latch?


Maybe I should use this idea for a hammer bot. It won't be for a long time though and if you won't mind me taking the latching idea Pete
