well the elevon mix setting allows for setup in 1 menu, if you were to do your own mixing, you would need 3 mixes set to get the same results...
plus elevon mixing is easier to setup being 1 menu and 2 settings for adjustment as opposed to 3 menu's and 9 settings...

after using them for practically my whole time in combat robotics, i have learned a few things...

the idea is purely to take some stress off of the servo... you could just back off the stick after you have grabbed them so its still holding but not at full force... sadly i dont have any pictures for an example... think of a stiff wire attached to the grab arm via a hole and the wire has a bend to...

think nitro rc car... they usually have something simmilar on the throttle...

the difference between the 2 servo's is like a third of the price and a bit slower for the mg92b

thats all i really know having not used the kst personally

for a good solid reliable and cheap servo go for the towerpro mg92b... make sure its a genuine one (servoshop has the real ones) out of 6 i purchased over a year ago, 5 are still going strong... they have been through multiple events as well as much much practising and seeing how many stacked tins o...

you can probably see better than me, but in your pic it looks like pins 7 and 8 on both R and L look like they are connected...

im just guessing that you have probably already looked into that though, but just in case...

i can really notice the difference... i didnt notice it being slow, but was a bit peeved with the site going down every so often, but now the change its really noticeable just how fast it is now... good job...

with nothing attached, the be 1806 is pretty quiet if its well balanced... add a bar/disk and you will get that hum as it cuts through the air
