Re: 3D printer supplies

Great choice on entering the world of 3D printing! You wont regret it :) Having worked the last 7 years in a 3D printing and model making business - I have gone through lots of printers and lots of materials from the £10 a kilo to the £500+ a kilo  . The bottom line is - if you value your time ...

Re: Team Dudge build diaries.

Ahh that's good to know. Are they any types of bots which would warrant a larger battery? Big spinners perhaps? Batteries with a very high C rating? Im sure it will be rocking the stealth ninja-black look! :D Plasma-nitrite coated polycarb then, right? ;) I think i just like the clear polycarb since...

Re: Team Dudge build diaries.

Looks great! I love the lexan bots like this where you can see all the gubbinz inside.
With 4 wheel motors, which batteries do you go for? Still a 2S 200-300mah ?

Re: Antweight First Build - EddieJ

Ok thanks. Ill keep an eye out for them then and proxy in a dasmikro for now. Sketching nearly finished, a little more work on the chassis. But i think ill order in the electronics now and test everything will work and comes to to the predicted weights, before designing the CAD around them. Then it'...

Re: Antweight First Build - EddieJ

Ahh that makes sense, thanks Shakey!
So basically I need to take a run-up before kicking the opponent in the gonads with this spinner.

Better hold out for some 2S ESCs. Do you have an ETA on your ones, which do seem to be the gold standard! :)

Re: Antweight First Build - EddieJ

@George: Thanks a million for the advice on parts. I will keep an eye on shakey's shop. Im eager to get started so may try and pick up some other ESCs in the interim. Would rather 2 ESCs ideally - just because i can actually fit them in the bot then xD it's getting tight! Found some ESCs for 1S batt...

Re: Peter Wallers Robot Ramblings

Looks great! :D really inspiring as the design in a similar principle to what im trying to build at the moment! Can i ask how heavy the chassis was to hold all the parts? And also the brand of drive ESCs. That's the last part in struggling with (Shakey's ESCs are out of stock) Using the toothed belt...
