Re: Electric wire

Thanks both! I’m going to get some red and black for continuity, but I suppose it doesn’t what colour they are? The different colours don’t actually mean anything other than just to differentiate?

Electric wire

I’ve been looking for some red and black electrical wire for a while without much luck, and when I went to my local Screwfix yesterday to pick up another part they said that not only do they not have any, they don’t know where I could get some. I think I found some on eBay, is this the right stuff? ...

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall

I had a great time yesterday, even though I wasn't competing! It was nice to talk to some of the roboteers and I've really been bitten by the bug and can't wait to build my own and compete in Bristol in October! Thank you Chris and all for organising such a great event. I caught some of the fights o...

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall

Sorry to take away from that number, but I’ve had to make the difficult decision to withdraw this evening. There’s still quite a lot to do on my two, not helped by an undelivered transmitter, and whilst I could slave away every night this week and get one ready for Saturday I’ve decided I’d rather t...

Re: Accucell 6 charger

Sorry for the lack of updates, it’s been a busy week. It Turned out I’d bought a fixed installation power supply so I sent it back and bought a new one, due to the compressed time frame I have enough to do already. It was the mains power in plug that was missing.

Re: MichaelG92's Build Diaries

The flipper screwed together, and then resting in place as I haven't had time to make the brackets to screw it in place.

The sides attached. I've used 2mm polycarbonate for the sides and flipper blade, 1mm for the brackets and 1.5mm everywhere else.

MichaelG92's Build Diaries

Now that my exams are finally out of the way, I can begin building. The original plan was to have three weeks to build MicroNewton (a 2wd flipper) and ArmamAnt! (a 4wd pusher) for AWS55 next week, but due to various reasons I've only been able to start building today so it's extremely unlikely both ...
