Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

That was a legitimate worry and the primary reason it hasn't happened yet, although I do have a decent amount of spare weight left... Once I get it up and running I need to turn my attention to Wej , it got snapped against Stolen Concept at Botfest and is looking very sorry for itself, but I have pl...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

I had been thinking about some sort of none-return kind of set up, inspired by those things at car parks, luckily though my wedge is only 72mm wide so I haven't faced anything narrow enoigh yet... yet...

And I prefer Battleship Grey... sound more 'Ard innit

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

Ah right, mine doesn't lift or anything, just grab and ideally keep hold of, I've kept the more flexible arm on to protect the gearbox... But, here she is! No base or rear plate yet still, and spinner scars still intact. In all its dull grey glory! https://i.ibb.co/0YvQdcy/20190406-164629.jpg Edit: ...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

Right, good to know, I almost went with a double myself? But the plastic I have is way too flexible and by the time I'd braced it enough to be useful I was flapping almost 50g overhead and winding it back to the self right position turned it turtle... What's sort of torque are you grabbing with? I'v...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

Yeah... hijacking my thread! :( Joking

Once I've fixed my wiring issues I'll get some pics up of it complete, I only have a single grabbing arm, like a low-poly Razer.

How do you find the double arm?

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

Ok, looks straight forward enough, just need some practice I think...

Jiggy looks interesting, look like we got a battle of the grabbers going on in here.

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

Ah thanks Kyro, I've never been much good at the whole forum thing... I'll get there eventually

Yeah maybe the issue with imgbb is that I'm using mobile because I'm lazy and the PC is all the way over there on the other side of the room...

Thankfully, no magic smoke! The fuse did it's job I assume.

Also: pic uploaded (I think)

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

Yeah the batteries are 350mah... typo... The poly carb rear and hollow nose section are anti-spinner precautions. Edit: we only weigh in a 127g atm too! :D Right the fuse is + side of the battery before anything else, and is accessible from underneath to use as a removable link, 2 birds with ...

Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.

So, after almost giving up last year, here we are. I'm going to create just the one build log rather than keep cluttering up the forum. I've just finished up a rebuild of the AW Pullover, challenging myself to build as neatly as possible. Now, having finished shrink wrapping all the joints, I plug t...
