Re: Gear motor housing files for 3d printing at home

It lacks the grooves to actually hold the motor in place. Without them any force displace into the shaft or along the face of the motor will push it through the housing. You can see the grooves here: http://inmotion.pt/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Pololu_Micro_Metal_Gearmotor_Bracket_Pair_Black.j...

Re: Earthwormjim's Stuff

Wow, that's a powerful machine! Nothing will be able to outpush that, so we're going to have to rip it up :P Those botbitz, did them come with the chips stacked up in that fashion ? The stacked chips are the BEC regulator. You can unsolder the top most one and it still works fine, but at a lower ra...

Re: pololu B328

Here is some Arduino Code for using on the B328's. I've been running this code for 2+ years now in most of my ants. #include <OrangutanMotors.h> #define CH1 7 // ELE - FWD/REV #define CH2 4 // AIL - LEFT/RIGHT #define LED 1 #define rcMin 1000 #define rcMax 2000 #define MIXING 1 OrangutanMotors motor...

Re: deodorANT & friends

It has a singularity drive :) Servo's tilt the chassis to make the rubber nub under the weapon motor act as a wheel, tilting the robot in different directions makes it drive in different directions. Tilting the robot more makes it drive faster due to the increasing nub to ground diameter increasing ...

Re: Peter Wallers Robot Ramblings

I really am bemused by the egrips results. I've had Void running around tables pushing keyboards, cups, and other heavy objects around without any issue whatsoever, and I don't recall losing grip once during the AWS, even in the melees and fun multi-way fights I did in the secondary arena. Could th...

Re: deodorANT & friends

What code are you running on the B328? I killed 2x of them back when I first started using them due to some crappy code of mine. I've been running Steve Martin's arduino based code on mine for nearly 2 years now with only 1 failure (jammed 30:1HP on 3S, and kept driving).
