Re: UserFriendly Build Diary

Not quite up to mr hibberd's standard (yet), but 3D printed an adapter so I can experiment with pneumatics! http://i.imgur.com/eypkAfU.jpg And here's a video of it working. It doesn't actually suck back in after firing as it appears to in the video - that's because I recorded it with the GIF like 'b...

Re: Idiots Guide Needed - ESC, RX & Motors!

Also, seeing as this is relevant, does the Blade MLP4DSM have built in V Tail mixing? I've tried messing with the trims and things but it just reverses things and no manuals seem to specify. I've got my newest robot all working fine it's just the same problem with the old one in that it needs V Tai...

Re: NanoTwo Kits

I've just had a email from Lemon-rx that they will be phasing out DSM2 (I was asking about a 'no-pin' DSMX version of their 5 pack): Hello Andy, Thank you for your comment. We will eventually fade out DSM2 and replaced with DSMX receiver (capable of DSM2 reception). I will let the team knows about i...

Re: UserFriendly Build Diary

We had a delivery from Lakeland today. My youngest son imagined the box as an arena, and a few minutes later:

Re: Robot Wars TV Series 2016 BBC 2

Loved it! Noel Sharkey summed it up: Terrorhurtz clearly won on damage and aggression, but for me the real star of the show was Nuts, because its control was beautiful, I mean it managed to last there for 3 minutes with a broken robot. That was astonishing. :D I imagine Antweights may have a bit of ...

Re: AWS 50- 23rd July- Basingstoke

As usual, we had a blast! Thanks to everyone again. Hope you got enough donations! The cake was really nice - if my wife had been there, she'd be asking for the recipe. :P Thanks to Peter for lending my sons friend a robot, he was so happy to take part. Well done to Rory, you deserved a good win! Lo...

Re: UserFriendly Build Diary

Hmm, when we thought of the design, I was thinking the flipper would double as a srimech, but having made it, you're right, we have a problem. I'm still thinking of armour, so we'll see if we can come up with something!

Re: UserFriendly Build Diary

New robot: 'Exterminator'. Will (hopefully!) appear at AWS50 After my youngest son (7) helped to make 'FlyingScotsman' for his older brother to drive last time, he was really keen on making one for himself this time (with some help!) I started off a design on the iPad, and he modified and started to...
