Re: deodorANT & friends

I'm assuming it cuts out when you spin up and when you turn off your weapon, it comes back on. It's most likely current limiting on the bec kicking in so you need to hook up the positive lead of the servo board to the positive battery lead to stop the reciever from drawing too much current. It shoul...

I despise super glue because it only seems to stick things to me rather than each other.

Re: AWS 35 - Pontefract - 17th July 2011

This would certainly be an interesting way to spend my birthday

I'll try to build an indestructible brick to fight the spinners but need to figure out how to attach a wire to a snapped motor connector first.

A bit more expensive and all different colours but you get 6 and they're bigger.

Re: Shunts

Well I need to buy some 0.1 ohm resistors for my current limiting circuit to stop speedos from breaking so I can test it with those.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Re: Shunts

I'm using the 12V battery that came with the drill but I checked the resistor that I originally used and it turns out that I'd blown it at some point. Tried again with another resistor of the same value and ended up with these results before that resistor blew up  6.39V start up => 1.45A 0.45V...

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-vlURNoJGtwc/TeisxDXEkXI/AAAAAAAAAI4/_OtxxHbgbWc/s144/Shunt%252520circuit.png Having measured the resistance of the motor with a multimeter to be ~8 ohms (probably inaccurate due to it being an inductor and resistor) might mean that a larger proportion of the volta...

Shunts

I tried to use a shunt to measure the current draw of a drill motor to prevent the multimeter from exploding but ended up with it supposedly drawing 16A continuously and about an 1A on start up which seems very backwards. I've checked my wiring and my maths which are both fine but the numbers both s...

Re: Pop!

I reckon I can deal with 3ds files and possibly a dae. Just send them to the yahoo or hotmail address on my profile page and I'll convert it.

Re: Pop!

What file type is it that needs converting because I might be able to do it?
