Nah mate, the bar alone is 100mm in diameter, I believe its around 120mm long and 100-110mm wide at the wheels.

For a while, I used the main leads on my battery to power the weapon and used the balance lead to power the drive. Was easy to remember what plugged into where due to the different connectors and I could run the weapon without running the drive or vice-versa :)

The Australian roboteers seem to be way ahead of us on this front - even if they're slipping behind regarding cricket! - Aaron was telling me about some Hobbyking 'kits' they set up and then ran a few workshops to educate people on what the parts did and left the chassis, armour, weapon constructio...

The front is supposed to run on pins, i tested without and then with both the same really, i'm not sure how I would do the teflon coating and keep a low front edge. The robot kind of handles like the featherweight '360' but rather than clever tuning it's just that 80% of the weight is up front and ...

Was very happy with the power of the weapon and the performance of the 1 tooth-counter-balanced bar. However, I have a list of things to rebuild and improve now. I use the same motor and blade mounting technique on both my spinner ants Scarlet and Kruger.

I use 3.25mm Hardox 450 bars with slots milled in them to be able to use the prop adaptor grubs screws.

That melty brain is awesome and silly, what was the problem with the brain? It didn't have one... It was just an receiver connected to the brushless controller which turned the motor on flat out. The idea was for it to just hockey puck around the arena until it hit the opponent, which kinda worked ...
