I unfortunately have no running robots at the moment and don't fancy a mad rush to complete one the night before so I'll pass on this event

You could always try hooking your claw up to the motor using a four bar linkage to allow the motor to be somewhere else and you can use the geometry of the linkage to give more speed or force.

I have used some 2mm HIPS (vacuum former sheet) which was very flexible when in the large sheet but when It was cut down to ant size it was much stiffer with the side and back panels making it much stiffer. I might try to use ABS as it feels much stiffer than HIPS for something that is about the sam...

I'm pretty sure it's these videos:

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcJvnHUhdjs
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPG0JP69Rcw
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtLN8BoMIlQ
Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2AdjN5yw_0

The 4th video is just testing and laser cutting.

What voltage are your batteries? A mixer genrally doesn't like much more than 5V, a regulator or resistor is probably needed but then some modificatiosn will be needed to give full battery voltage to the servos whilst only giving 5V to the mixer. BTW, doesn't the giant cod radio you use have in buil...

I have used duct tape, The hinge of a plastic wallet with a load of holes poked in it to give the glue something to stick to and a couple of m2 screws that go into some 2mm holes in the flipper.

One of the plastic 'living' hinges or duct tape is probably best weight wise though.

I think mose axes are use to grab and drag other robots today as you can't really put that much power into an antweight axe as it will send it self flying everytime it hits something.

Hooked up a bigger power supply to the rumble robots base and now know that it needs somewhere between 300 and 1000mA to run with the sabertooth. All It needs now is some batteries capable of supplying that current, a wedge and a rollover shell and its el cheapo the kilobot and possibly american ant...

Although the giant cod transmitter costs a bit more, it's worth the extra money for another channel and genrally less problems with interference etc.

I'd assume that any 40 MHZ crystal from hitec would work.

Or you could stick with 2.4 GHz and not bother with having to deal with crystals :D Just buy more recievers and bind them to the transmitter.
