I've got a bag full from staples.... would you like me to post some? @TeamOrr: Are you talking about the washable gel type lint rollers? The sticky ones can't be used in minisumo. Provided you're not sticking to a sheet of A4 paper I think you'll pass. Not really stuck to the surface! regards, Colin

Dark Star (1974)

Low-Budget Si-Fi.... I'm sure this was the one with the giant Tomato Aliens in the corridors and the AI bomb that was challenged with philosophy.

edit: Yea, there's a trailer on IMDB.... I forgot the final surfing scene!

Just looking back at the initial thread.... Hmm, I have heard of LowBlow before ... can I ask what competitions have you entered in the past (if at all)? There's been some discussion on the minisumo forum ( here & here ) as well as appearing at a number of Midlands Micromouse & Robotics Club...

Off Topic: Yeah, all of those factors you mention should contribute to the overall cost. Don't knock your price down for the sake of beating competition though. If you think your robot is worth ?130 then sell it for that  I guess it takes time to design down to a cost, personally I've started...

Just noticed they only have one in stock but it is a start. Yea, a recent find I forgot to post back here... there's 8 x 1:100, 2 x 1:30 and 23 of the 1 :50 if you're not looking at the High Power version. Not checked the shipping but just noted some of Pololu's other distributors in the UK have di...

Looks like the handling fees are doubling up across the board, FedEx was about ?5, Royal Mail a bit less but now ?8. The critical point for these is the value:- Customs duty if the amount of duty is ?10 ( ?7 ) or over Import VAT if the value of the goods is ?22 ( ?18 ) and over I guess this is where...

I think I'm getting confused about which competition you're entering... are you looking at the line following or wall following competition (or something else)?

Are you looking for a wall follower or a maze solver? the first can be done with realitively simple circuits, the latter will need those complicated microchips! aside from google it'll be worth looking at the micromouse website and forum . The next big event will be in Birmingam on Sat 28th Nov, you...
