Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers
Hehe, well hopefully it'll last longer than that... though I can't promise anything! Btw, are you planning to run a servo on the aux power at all? If not I could just fit a 5v regulator instead of the 6v variable reg, which would greatly tidy up the rear of the board as it would get rid of about hal...

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers
Hehe, fair :L Just to say it won't have any connectors or frills, just a set of wires coming out of it like in the photo...

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers
Duff, if I don't flag up any major issues in preliminary testing (so far I've literally only turned it on for 30 secs and checked if it turns the motors when I move the sticks on my Tx :L) , and if I get some more built, I'll let you have one for £5 (cost of components) at the AWS. If it dies, I'll ...

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers
Yeah, I'm planning to do some experiments to try and make the boards as robust as possible; may look into potting the board in something to keep everything in place, whilst not being to solid to make replacing parts impossible... I have found a few suitable driver chips that run at lower than 8v, ho...

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers
You may not be surprised to hear I'll be discontinuing work on the TinyTwos, and just developing the Nanos from now on (despite having worked on the TinyTwos for 4 months  ). They're much simpler and less time consuming to build (about 15 mins as apposed to 2 hours!), and almost half the size ...

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers
Ok, I fear i'm double posting here, but I hope it's worth it. Here is the first working NanoTwo HP, finished this morning (having been only designed last Thursday :L ) https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/t31/q87/r270/s720x720/1781699_10151954683091845_2091546271_o.jpg 13mm x 13mm ...

Re: antweight open 2. 22nd november 2014
Went to the open last year to just watch... Seeing as I'm only a few miles away and should have my car with me by then, I'll almost certainly be there... this time with robots

Re: Yet Another Antweight Speed Controller
Ah, very nice solution! Yeah, classic case of waiting for something to come along, then two arrive at once :P Hopefully our ESC's are different enough not to kill the market; I've just bought about £100 worth parts to start work on the first batch :L Do the reprogrammed brushless ESCs retain their o...

Re: Another New Antweight..
Around 58g (the whole thing weighs ~98g), which should mean it has a reasonable amount of grip, certainly more than it has now... If I can find the space I'm gonna try add some extra weight, and hopefully should cure some of it's problems.

Re: Another New Antweight..
I've given up on trying to get it to self right, especially now my 'franken-servo' has died, so I'm back to a low powered blue one. Instead I've gone back to my original plan and got it to run inverted... it's not ideal as the wheels are lifted off the ground when it's upside down if the flipper is ...
