Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019
The entry limit is not set, however we are expecting a full event. As such, enter 4 but one will be put aside in case gaps need to be filled; we want everyone that has signed up to enter, so the people with 4 entries will be asked to sacrifice on as we did at AWS 58. In the spirit of diversity, we w...

Re: AWS 60 Proposal (Spring 2020)
Hi
Yes, me and Sarah (Tictoc, Out of Micro:trol) are hosting AWS60 in Headington, date is likely November 30th so we can keep the 20 year anniversary date in the right year (we missed one in 2017 I think)

Re: Antweight World Series 58 - 29th June 2019
Up until now, the record for an AWS was 103, shared between Will Thomas at Reading, and Richard Manning at AWS57. Chris managed 123, but if the software allowed it, we’d have been in the 130’s.

Re: Dual motor Axe bot
For Baby Hell I use a fingertech tinyESC. Expensive, yes, but at 3g it’s best for weight and will handle 2 HP motors easy (I use them to drive a beetle with no issue). Control wise, I have a spring-centred Double pole, double throw switch attached to the rudder control. Basically, if you take the le...

All the rule changes are in RED in this document: https://nutsandbots.co.uk/aws-rules-update-v5/ If there is any amendments you suggest for the rules, please put them here and we (the committee) will adjust t...

Re: AWS rule polls 2019
There’s a lot of rules we want to change, the first lot is really a vote on “do we change it”, the wording for some rules will be voted on later. The first lot were the ones the committee voted in unanimously, but we want it to be a democratic vote, hence it’s open to you guys. We will get wordings ...
