Oliver I think the vast majority of roboteers would disagree with you. Aside from Antweights the FRA is the assosication for all robots within the Uk (and to an extent Ireland). It may not run any events (but if you read its aims it never planned to run any) but it sets the rules for Robotics within...

Pete what about using something like 0.25mm Polycarbonate, and sticking some plumbers tape to it. The polycarbonate will be flexible enough to bend down to make the seel and the ptfe would reduce friction? Not sure if it will work but might be worth a shot?

From experience and from the chemical properties Ptfe (Poly-Tetra-Fluro-Ethene) is more slippery than Polythene (poly-ethene). However Poly-ethene might work better as too much slippage may be a bad thing.

Pete, I am not sure if you are aware but I think Chris Lane used the name Defiant, I cant see this being a problem as I believe Chris has given up but just said i would let you know.
