Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire

I'll be bringing Spinza my BW.

Looking forward to seeing the SlaughterHouse and the first BW comp in the country.

I like the sound of that! Just had a good search and can't find the code or guide, anyone got a link?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Servos as speed controllers and cheapo 9g gear motors!

Thanks for the info guys!

I have a bit of Arduino knowledge that I'll have to dust off. So the Baby-O's don't come with any firmware pre-installed? Where can I buy them in the UK or with good international delivery?

Re: Servos as speed controllers and cheapo 9g gear motors!

Sorry should have said, I did the hack with the resistors. A pair of 2.2Kohm ones. Initially I had no jittering and decent full proportional control fwd and rev but it just kept wondering until it was beyond the trims.

An issue with the Rx maybe?

Re: Servos as speed controllers and cheapo 9g gear motors!

I was planning on doing a similar thing, use the servo boards from large Servos to control gearmotors but I found with the hack I did on those Micro servos that the trimming constantly had to be reset.

Is there a way to stop this?

Re: Building an Ant as a present.

I also did the HK Tx hack and made my own lead following the earlier link. Worked well, it's incredibly featureful and seriously impressive when you consider it was £15! For those using a Max I followed this guide to get it working and used his Port of the Turborix software. www.zenoshrdlu.com/turbo...

Re: Building an Ant as a present.

Worked out quite well. Put it all together on the day and runs nicely! 220g total weight though, the AAA cells and Mecanno brackets make it heavy, also 3mm Polycarb is perhaps OTT, could have gotten away with 2mm I think. Also AAA cells seem to have aggressive voltage drop, which means the Rx cuts o...
