Hi Peter, that'd be me. Here's a link to the ones I "think" I use from memory (there's a number of different sizes available). I suggest you download the datasheet on Farnell and see if any fit your needs.

Finally got around to signing up. I've got a new robot I'd like to try out in the non-spinner event, do I need to sign up online with it as well as the other 3 in the main competition or is it a case of adding it to the list of nonspinner robots on the day? Cheers

Whether you are using a pair of bias resistors or 'setting the pot', it's best to leave the pot in place so that it acts as the axle for the output gear. When using a pair of resistors I disconnect the pot and glue it an arbitrary place, then drill out the final output gear with a 1.5mm drill to all...
