Had a great time yesterday- fantastic to touch base with the 'chaps' again. Many thanks to everyone there. Shame about Morgrugyns motors - would have gone marginally faster if it was glued to the arena floor!
Note to self - must get some sensible motors immediately!

Re: Robots: Extreme Wars Live Barnsley 2012 - 26 Feb 2012
Just setting off.
Sadly Morgrugyn had a motor fail so I've had to put some new ones in - bad news is it looks like they are 150:1 - boy is it SLOW
Needs to get some sensible ones asap.

Re: Arenarules
This is all presuming that the arena is a parallelogram. After carefully reading the rules, I'm now not sure what rule "3b) The arena will be a raised platform with an area of at least 30 inches (762mm) square." is actually saying. Does it say the arena must be a square of side >= 30 inche...

Re: Arenarules
As for a low walled arena, I would like to be able to push out on 2 sides and have to flip out on the other 2, or in any preferred geometry with the same effect I would heartily support the ditch all the way round with a stated wall height for the non-push off areas. I am just putting a practice ar...

Robots: Extreme Wars Live Barnsley 2012 - 26 Feb 2012
Is there going to be a presence at this event. I'm certainly game to go along, it's about the nearest thing to me. I might even have my new run all day ant ready by then!

Re: Tips for sketchup/3d printing
Has anybody got a HPX F servo drawn up? I haven't got one to hand yet and I want to get my drive all day ordered before Saturday night (20% shapeways discount until then on wsf) Think I've got one done, I'll have a look tonight. [Edit] I've uploaded it to the 3d Warehouse. Search for Park HPX F. It...

Re: Team Yr Morgrug - Builds n stuff
Well, the new baby has arrived :) it looks just the job. Tried it out with the flashing LEd code (easy when I worked out that the board need external power and couldn't use the USB for power  ). Next job is to mount all the programmer in a box with a socket on it so everything will be a little...
