I am up for removing both rules. Its an old rule I think dating back to aws 10. Spinners can get though ali, steel and dare I say it ti. I remember scott's ti front scoop getting prity shredded. If people want to make steel boxes then let them make steel box's. It will be a challenge to get it into ...

Cheers dave I have been on robot birds but nothing in there collection is anything close to what I need. I usually stick to around the 100 mah mark as an ant weight fight rarely goes over 3 minutes. An average fight is under a minute so after a fight I am usually charging a mostly full battery. Also...

speed hacking most servos is fine and will usually give enough torque. Usually I remove two gears for a speed mod making roughly a servo with 4 reductions, 4x quicker but 4 x less torque. This is fine as a 2kg servo will be reduced to 500 grams. More then enough to move your self with another robot....

Any hows I heard they changed hands a couple of times http://www.indo...

This is an old rule. I think it dates back to when there was a robot called da gaffa. It was a single piece of ali bent to form the chassis. It was still quite beatable as it had heavily exposed wheels. I am not sure about ant weights constructed out of ali billets but I think we can relax the rule ...

I have always used speed hacked standard servos. Last time I am aware they won anything was when I won aws 13

For more recent chrono trigger came second at aws 20 with them. Good if you use them properly.
