Hi, Just thought I'd ask if anyone has any components made up in google sketch up. Finally decided to bite the bullets and get some bits made by shapeways. You know what, it just occured to me that maybe the reason the kits are 250g is that Jonno is essentially a heavyweight builder. I know Jonno tests these kits and make sure they generally work BUT if you look at the design, it is a bit pants really. The flipper arm is too long beyond where the servo...

Maybe I come from a different perspective as we sort of see antweights as a bit of fun. This I feel is the fundimental problem many roboteers think anything less than a featherweight is not a serious robot. The battleantz that we've let on our arena have not been competitive robots, the roboteers don't seem to know anything about their robots, how to charge etc, perhaps this will improve with time. if you're going for cobalt drills you can buy single ones of the size you want off ebay. A set from screwfix will cost you ?20 minimum.

You really only need an hss drill for mild steel though.
