Re: BotFest 4 (25th April 2020)

Given my issues with battery supply, if entries are limited to a number lower than the people entered then feel free to bump me out of the event. I'd hate to get in at someone else's expense.

Re: Hobbyking

They've now told me that without a reference number for the purchase (which they never sent, because they never actually processed the order) they can't return my money. So they've literally stolen £22.50 from me.

Where else do people buy their antweight batteries from?

Re: Hobbyking

Just to update you all, this is looking more and more like actual fraud on Hobbyking's part. I've spoken to the bank about getting a refund, and they're struggling to get an answer too. I'm now waiting for a call back from Citizen's Advice. If I could have bought a battery from BBB I would have. Far...

Re: Hobbyking

I have a partial update on this. They deny having any record of me buying from them, but they were happy enough to take the money out of my account last month. I asked if they could at least give me a refund if they can't find the order, and they're back to giving me the silent treatment.

Hobbyking

Just a quick question really, I've been waiting almost a month for a delivery from them. Is this normal? Seems a bit extreme when Bristol Bot Builders managed to get a load of parts to me faster than some first class mail posted the same day. I've asked them for an update but so far been met with si...

Re: BotFest 4 (25th April 2020)

Thanks. I'm struggling to sign up because for some reason I can't add new robots to my account.

Edit - got it, I just can't read instructions

Re: BotFest 4 (25th April 2020)

What's the sign-up process, or are we just turning up on the day and going from there?

Re: AWS 62 - Summer/Autumn 2021

But as I said a page or two back, with the way lockdown has been going for the past year, I support any initiative to limit numbers at AWS 62, but longer term rule changes should probably be debated somewhere other than this thread. The event will NOT go ahead until all COVID restrictions are lifte...

Re: AWS 62 - Summer/Autumn 2021

As a noob with solely modded RC cars at the moment I have no issue not being able to attend the next AWS. We'll still have to be distancing and probably limiting competitor numbers, so this as a one-off doesn't bother me. If it became a more permanent rule, it could cause amateurs not to make the s...

Re: AWS 62 - Summer/Autumn 2021

while im happy theres hope of an event on the horizon, i have a few comments regarding some of your changes. the groups of 4 battles firstly: changing the format like this changes a lot... fights go from who's going to win using driver skill and/or weapon power to who's going to not get ganged up o...
