Re: Cost To Print An Antweight chassis/parts with PLA
I think the Hackspace charges something like 5p / gram, so it's still only a couple of quid, to use the Reading Hackspace's nice 3d printers. That includes some maintenance costs on the machines. My 3d printer at home is broken; I think this is the default state for such a machine. I've been lookin...

Re: Cost To Print An Antweight chassis/parts with PLA
My last print was roughly 45g, with a spool of PLA filament (1kg) being about £15-£20.

Re: Team Oh, It Broke Build Logs
Well, the demo model went well. Plugged the wrong wire into the rx by mistake... My living room doesn't smell great now! Spare rx worked fine, but 2s isn't enough power to run 6 motors. Will test it as 4wd soon.

Re: Team Oh, It Broke Build Logs
Using half a dozen the new BBB thicker antweight wheels with associated N20s for a basic drivetrain, just to see how far I can get with an electrical system that I'm already familiar with with the extra weight, stronger armour etc. Should be plenty of weight left over for a titanium wedge for now, h...

Re: Fingertech Viper
Out of interest, and the potential to be opening a business in which some robot combat events may be taking place in future, I was looking at a few off-the-shelf options, including this: https://www.robotshop.com/uk/fingertech-viper-combat-robot-kit-v2.html I was wondering, since I have only a 6-ch...

Re: Fingertech Viper
No you don't need 8 channels for this or indeed probably any combat robot. I may be wrong, but isn't the Viper a US-Antweight (1 lbs / 450g) robot kit? It's not going to make weight for a 150g tournament certainly. Thanks It is, I was initially thinking purely for the sake of private events, but in...

Re: Can someone walk me through transmitter setup?
Thanks, I'll have another look - didn't seem to make a difference before but the guide I found (different to what's posted here) was... unhelpful, to put it politely.
