How hard would it be to put the flipper the other way up like on the heavy weight firestorm?
From watching the World Series on YouTube I sort of have an idea what other people's look like and I have only seen 3 people do something similar to what I want to do

Sounds awesome! Make sure you get a nice sheet of acetate (really thin, light, clear plastic that is often on the front of robots) and cut and stick a piece to the flipper so you can get in underneath other robots. flipper coz It seems to be the most predominant type of robot and I thought it would be the easiest to get started with

I have a £120 shockbots kit in the post but I guess that does come with a 3d printed chassis

We aren't really arguing the rule we are just arguing what 'falls off' means.
I think you are only out if you hit the floor and can't get out because of it
