Re: A Quick Hello

Yes, it's pretty universal now; i use a LemonRx in my featherweight. It's just a lot cheaper and waay more reliable than anything else now really. Though If you did start on a heavier weight class I would advise upgrading to a slightly more advanced transmitter; they're fine at the ant scale, but i ...

Re: A Quick Hello

Hopefully my blade transmitter will arrive soon so i can work out and run you through the bind procedure (if someone else doesn't first). The £9.99 transmitter uses the DSM2 protocol, which means you'll need a receiver which uses DSM2 as well. Fortunately both the LemonRx and the OrangeRx are DSM2 s...

Re: A Quick Hello

THAT was the one I was thinking of! Knew I'd seen it cheaper... EDIT: Just bought one :P I want to see what they're like... EDIT EDIT: Just discovered an advantage of the LemonRx over the OrangeRx; it doesn't die when you get positive and negative back to front! (I said I wasn't very good with recei...

Re: A Quick Hello

If you're looking for an inexpensive setup, i would suggest a 4 channel Blade transmitter or similar (can usually be found on ebay for around £20), and either a 6 channel LemonRx or an OrangeRx receiver. They're both very similar 6 channel receivers that are widely used. The LemonRx is slightly chea...

Re: 2g) Any system involving the use of pressurised gas or l

I'd be against any use of CO2 in antweights. It's fine for people who know what they're doing, but inexperienced people could end up hurting themselves
But wouldn't that be even more true with featherweights? And yet they run full pressure systems just fine..

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers

Depends how much current a beetleweight motor takes. As long as it's less than 3.5A continuous then it might be ok. I would have to do some more testing for that. And I'm not currently looking at selling it with a receiver, though it would be easy enough to do.. After some further testing on the HP ...

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers

Will do :) In other news, just been playing around with the old NanoTwo HP boards to see if they can be made to work, and it seems that if yous slap a big capacitor across the voltage rails they work just fine. Need to do some more comprehensive testing tomorrow, but if they prove to be stable with ...
