Hemp Dr Regr Exeter {Page 2} Thomas Collier of Southleigh in the County of Devon yeoman and James Collier of the same place yeoman the sons and sole Executors named in the last Will and Testament of John Collier late of the same place, yeoman who died in the month of June 1817 <> <> <> <> that they have made diligent search and due enquiry after and in respect of the Personal Estate and Effects of the said Deceased in order to ascertain the full amount and value thereof; and that to the best of the knowledge, information, and belief, the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits, of which the said Deceased died, possessed within the archdeaconary of Exeter (exclusive of what the Deceased may have been possessed of, or initiated to as a Trustee for any other Person or Persons, and not beneficially, but including the Leasehold Estates for years of the Deceased, whether absolute or determinable on Lives, and without deducting anything on account of the Debts due and owing from the Deceased,) are under the Value of Four Hundred and Fifty Pounds Sworn on the Twenty First Day } Thomas Collier of November 1817 } James Collier before me William Tanner Snr {Page 3} In the Name of God Amen, I John Collier of Marystock(?) Farm in the Parish of Southleigh in the county of Devon, Yeoman, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and <> following (that is to say). First I direct my body to be buried in a plain but decent manner in the Parish church yard of Southleigh aforesaid by the side of my late wife. And all funeral and other expenses to be paid by my said executors within three months next after my decease. Also I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Collier the sum of one hundred pounds to be paid within twelve months next after my decease. Also I give and bequeath unto my son Jasper Collier the sum of One hundred pounds to be paid to him or his <> within twelve months next after my decease. Also I give unto my son John Collier or his <> the sum of one hundred pounds to be paid to him or them within twelve months next after my decease by my said executors hereinafter named And also I give and bequeath unto my son James Collier or his <> the sum of one hundred pounds to be paid to him within tweleve months next after my decease. I also give and bequeath unto my two sons Thomas Collier and James Collier (in trust) for my three grand children by my son Jasper Collier (that is to say) unto his son John Collier the sum of five pounds, to Elizabeth and Mary his Daughthers the sum of five pounds each which [said James I(?)] direct my executors hereinafter named to cause(?) this same to be paid out as interests unto each of them shall attain their respective ages of twenty one years [and also] the sum of five pounds unto any grand child Sarah Collier Daughter of my said son John Collier and the same to be paid out as interest by my executors until she shall attain her age of twenty one years which said [several sums of] five pounds I do hereby direct my said Executor hereinafter named{,} their Executor administrators or <> to pay the same as each of the said sums shall become due and I do hereby further [wish] my said Executor hereinafter named to pay and discharge all my funeral expenses and all other [just assets] within six months next after my decease and unto all other my seal and [journal Estate securities for money and other affects which I shall <> <> I give and bequeath unto my sons Thomas Collier and James Collier to whom I hereby whole and sole Executors of this my last will and testament after revoking all former Wills by me hereto you made in witness hereof of the said John Collier the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this fifth day of December One Thousand eigth hundred and sixteen <> and by the said John Collier the testator{.} and declared to be his last will and testament in his presence and and in the presence of each <> our names as witnesses hereto John Holcott [Dr] Hatcher James [Underdown] {signature} John Collier (seal) [Examined] with the original will by me John ?
