Managed to get some small coloured stickers for the Civil War tournament so that`s a definite for this year now.

Signed up Betsie.

I'm travelling by train and bicycle again, which will be fun.

Now all I have to do is get the robot fixed, currently in 100 tiny pieces and not working, due to catastrophic short circuit last week (GND and +17v ?). New Raspberry Pi is ready...

My custom electronics leaves a lot to be desired...
Robots: Betsie - RaspberryPi controlled flipper bot with gyro stablisation - too clever for her own good?
Stacie - tidy flipper; 4wd driven by hair bands

According to the met office there is a chance of snow for the weekend.
It looks fine for Hinckley and there’s no plans to cancel the event.
If you want to text me before you leave then I will confirm yes or no, otherwise assume it is on until further notice.

Please see the updated timetable in the first post for this Saturday, signups will now stay open for the morning and we’ll run the main tournament in the afternoon.
This is to allow more time to travel with the weather as it is.

So if it does snow it's looking like I'm coming on the train, yikes early start but there's one that gets there about half 9 so should be ok.

One way or another robot combat shall be had.

@paul annihilator is some big rumble action and nuts is a game where a pile of big plastic nuts are in the middle and 4 bots scrap to try get as many of them back to their corner as possible. It's silly and awesome. Not sure about civil war.
My robots:

Third Law (antweight) - push/ram bot
Manticore (antweight) - hammer bot

I'm on the way now by bicycle+train.

The roads were certainly very icy this morning, seems appropriate for an Ant Freeze!

There was a coat left behind today at the venue, I’ve got it at home safe.
