I'm sorry to say I won't be able to make it. I've wanted to do an event like this for a while, but unfortunately this falls on the only weekend where I was able to book somewhere for mine and my partner's anniversary. I hope everyone has a fun day and I look forward to seeing the videos

Trying not to take Antweights too seriously. I think I'm failing.

This event sounds like a lot of fun indeed! I can't make it but love the ideas of these games. Good to have something a little different from the regular combat. If popular I can see people making custom bots with scoops or at the very least attaching them to existing bots. Maybe there would be an opportunity to have a play around with some of these games at the next AWS? although I'm not sure how much time there is to allow for such things.

There's often barely enough time at an AWS to do the AWS, let alone games at the end! I do feel like there's a lack of events other than based solely around full combat though - it's why I initiated this one, I always loved the earlier Robot Wars series with the gauntlet and trials and Simon Windisch's Reading Robot Club was great fun with the football and speedway (I miss the little bar-cum-scout-hut that used to be hosted in

)

I'm afraid I'm in Wales on the 20th... Someone else will have to push all the marbles into the wrong pit for me!
