NanoTwo Kits

Post by Rapidrory »

So I've alluded to these previously, but I'm pleased to announce that I've decided to start offering the 'NanoTwo kit':

"Love to build antweights but find soldering tedious? Bored of searching eBay for parts? Just want to turn that cake tin into a robot without worrying about the details? Then look no further than the NanoTwo kit!"

Yeah, so as many of you know I produce the NanoTwo ESCs. The NanoTwo kit combines my ESC in a small package with a LemonRx, complete with motors, motor mounts, and wheels.

The whole unit is compact and lightweight, weighing in at 30g (including motors and wheels), with board dimensions of 26mm x18mm x10mm
It also comes with a compact servo connector on the throttle channel to allow for weapons to be added:

They have been shown to be very competitive; several of the higher ranking robots in the final group at the last AWS were running these kits, and the current Fleaweight champion uses the fleaweight version of this kit.

Supplied with bind plug for an easy setup.

Price:
£40 for complete kit.
£30 without wheels and motors
£2 postage

It's roughly the same cost as buying all the parts separately, but they're combined into a small neat package, and can be delivered as soon as next day (depending on available stock/ whether I'm free.)

Options:
. Wheels and motors or just Rx/ESC unit
. Shipping or collection at next AWS
. Motor mounts
. Normal motors (300rpm) or Fast motors (500 rpm)
If you have any particular requirements, ask in the email to check if it’s possible.

For more information including recommended parts to complete your robot, please see the complete datasheet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rr6 ... sp=sharing

If you would like one, please email your list of options to: rapidrory@gmail.com
I will get back to you to confirm your order, after which you'll need to send the required amount via PayPal to the address above before I can ship it.

An option for a fleaweight kit has now been added. These are identical to the ant-weight kits, except the motor shafts a wheels have been shortened by ~2mm to allow the drive to easily fit within the 3 inch cube.

Prices and other options remain the same.

New LemonRx's have now arrived (surprisingly early) so kits are back in stock.

The full kit will now come with motor mounts and appropriate fixings as an option:

These won't cost anything extra; the full kit will still be £40 even with the motor mounts.

This has been the case for a while, but I never officially announced it: There's now an option to have fast (500 rpm) motors or slow (300 rpm) motors fitted (dependant on available stock)

Seeing as Alex and I are now living in the same house, it made sense to team up and use some of his parts for my kits. As such, all new kits will be supplied with silicon tires on printed 'tough hubs', "providing up to 60% more traction over standard Pololu wheels"

Prices will remain the same.

Also will hopefully be offering a kit using the light weight drive units, which gives you ~8g of motor and wheels as opposed to 25g, giving you more weight to build your spinner/ flea weight, etc. Still working out the fine details, but will have updates soon.

Rory sorted me out with the NanoTwo kit and its perfect for my first attempt at building a small robot flipper with my 3D printer.

Thanks again Rory

Hi Rory, would a kit be available all of the above without the Lemon RX receiver, and if so would there be a price drop, if it is possible even without a price drop I'll still happily buy.
Thanks

Yeah, I could do that. What RX would you be using it with? It doesn't work with some types.
