Re: Speed Controllers
These look very nice! If the test works well I think I may have to get a couple for Inertia's 4 & 5

Re: Speed Controllers
I have now tried to simplify the range of controllers I can build by bringing out a prefered range of three although I can still do the older versions if you can't change for some reason.
The newer range all have double drive chips (2.4A), JST battery connectors fitted and strain relief on flying leads.
1. The Option D2 that is an updated Option D board that replaces the Option A and D boards.........£35 + £2 p&p
2. The HK4Ch compatible module that you can just plug in your HobbyKing 4Ch DSM2 receiver.......£35 + £2 p&p
3. The Rx31 reciever/control module that has the tiny Rx31 DSM2 receiver on board...................£60 + £2 p&p
For more details see http://www.antweightwars.co.uk/Controllers2.htm

Re: Speed Controllers
Peter its still too big! (for Anto anyway ) you beat me to doing it, fantastic Peter, £62 for receiver and controller is a great deal
Re: Speed Controllers
just wondering but how the hell do you make anto's electronics so small? im guessing extremely hard and you need to have some idea what you are doing

Re: Speed Controllers
Having made the Rx31 and the Hobbyking 4ch controllers completely plug in I decided that perhaps the Option D2 should be as well and the D3 was born.
Size 27.5 x 21 x 11 mm and weighing 7.1 gms + 2.5 gms for the motor leads.
Without case showing strain relief
Motor sockets
With case top
Bottom
With motors plugged in
With servo plugged in

Re: Speed Controllers
How much are the D2 and 3 boards selling for ? I can use either, just rather go for the cheaper one

Are you taking orders Peter? Or are you too busy?

Re: Speed Controllers
I just noticed the prices listed above, my bad .
I am curious though, is 2.4A per side suitable for 2 x Pololu HP motors (on each side) ? I am thinking of using one for Bulletproof's upgrade because it is pretty much the same as 2 banebots weight wise and (because it was done on Stewie's) it can have mixing programmed into it, saves me the weight for an external mixer (Its still on old Skysports 6 technology with no onboard mixing ).

Re: Speed Controllers
Dave26...... Taking orders sounds a bit like a production line but if you want a controller I am sure I could build you one.
razerdave.. The motor drive boards can drive:
............... two of the standard microgearbox motors using a 2 or 3 cell lipo battery
............... four standard microgearbox motors using 2 cell lipo battey
............... two of the HP or 12v microgearbox motors using a 2 cell lipo battery.
Having said that although out of spec and therefore warrenty both the latest and previous versions of Defiant run 4 50:1 HP on two cells.
