The axle on the far side is an M2 countersunk screw attached through the servo casing,then through a small fibreglass plate,to stop it from distorting too much.Its alot more rugged than Bruces old one,which was a screw superglued onto the outside of the servo case!
yes i use them also. you could try giving them and email asking when they'll be back in stock. i did this when i was looking for some sla batterys and they said they had a few of the batteries that i wanted in the back room they just hadn't updated the website

looks good Jim, although I do think those arms will break before the polycarb does! looking forward to seeing and fighting it (having ordered lots of parts to build a new flea myself, can't resist the urge hehe...)
